Japanese emergency medical team arrives in Yangon

A Japanese emergency medical team arrived in Yangon on April 2 to give treatment to victims of the March 28 earthquake that struck Myanmar, Reuters reported. It is learnt that the chairman of Nippon Foundation donated the emergency aid to Myanmar.
 
The Japanese emergency medical team sent to Myanmar just a few days after Chinese and Russian rescue teams arrived in the country after the powerful earthquake.
 
More than 3,000 people have died in Myanmar due to the powerful earthquake with many being still trapped, according to the rescue teams. United Nations officials have urged and advised that aid efforts should be stepped up to help those displaced by the disaster and the damage before the monsoon season.
