The Indian Army Medical Corps opened a 200-bed field hospital at the old airfield in Chanmyatharsi Township, Mandalay, to provide healthcare to local residents. More than 100 Indian Army field medical personnel are providing treatment at the newly opened temporary hospital, which includes operating rooms, medical shelters, and equipment.
A 200-bed makeshift hospital set up by the Indian Army Medical Corps is now treating patients and performing minor surgeries.
As of 8pm on April 1, the Indian government and five Indian naval ships have airlifted a total of 625 tonnes of humanitarian aid and disaster relief materials for the earthquake-hit Myanmar, according to the Indian Embassy in Myanmar.6
