A fire broke out at the Payagyi Myoma Market on the Yangon-Mandalay Highway in Ward No. (3), Payagyi town, Bago Township, Bago Region, at around 12:20 a.m. on February 6, according to Myanmar Fire Brigade.
Altogether eight showrooms including beverage and electrical shops in Payagyi Market were burnt down, informed a responsible person from Myitta Shwesin Prahita Association. Five fire engines, one support vehicle, three water tankers, departmental fire fighters, and volunteer fire fighters were dispatched to the scene of the fire, and the fire was extinguished after more than 40 minutes.
