15 bodies have been recovered until April 1 from the Sky Villa apartment building that collapsed in Mandalay’s Aungmyethazan Township due to the powerful earthquake.
Until April 1, 15 bodies had been recovered including eight men and seven women under the rubble of the collapsed building. More than 50 survivors have been rescued.
The Myanmar Fire Services Department and Chinese search and rescue teams are working together in a search and rescue operation at the site of the Sky Villa building. Mandalay residents said that some of the apartments in the 11-story Sky Villa building collapsed and sank into the earth due to the earthquake, leaving only seven floors remaining.
