MYANMAR national women’s football team claimed the championship trophy at the Nepal Four Nations Women’s Football Invitational Tournament, in Nepal on February 26 defeating the host Nepal with a dominant 2-0 victory in the final match. Winning goals were scored in the second half by Yupa Khine in 62 minutes and by Team Captain WinTheingi Tun another goal in 65 minutes.

In the group stages, Myanmar defeated Lebanon 3-1 and beat Kazakhstan with a 5-0 scoreline. The only draw in the group stage came against Nepal, with the match ending 2-2 and became group achampion competing against Nepal at the final match.

Myanmar national women’s football team has been planned to compete in tournaments in 2025, including the ASEAN Women’s Championship, the AFC Women’s Asian Cup Qualifiers and the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand, according to the Myanmar Football Federation.
