The Myanmar Football Federation (MFF)’s executive committee has awarded 100 million kyats to Myanmar national team midfielder Maung Maung Lwin, who scored the only winning goal for the ASEAN All-Star team against Manchester United, with a commemorative trophy.
The award was made at the executive committee meeting of Myanmar Football Federation (MFF). Maung Maung Lwin was selected as the only player to represent Myanmar in the ASEAN All-Star team against Manchester United and scored the only winning goal in the 71st minute, although he only came on as a substitute in the second half of the match. Maung Maung Lwin was welcomed with applause by MFF Chairman U Zaw Zaw and executive committee members upon his arrival at the ceremony.

At the MFF’s executive committee meeting, preparation status of the Myanmar U-22 national football team who will take part in the 33rd SEA Games, Myanmar national women’s football team and men’s and women’s futsal teams and goals and preparations of Myanmar national men’s and women’s teams, age-group teams and futsal teams for Asian and ASEAN competitions.
In addition, the representatives discussed the clean-up and reconstruction of the Myanmar Football Academy (Mandalay) damaged by the earthquake and plans underway for temporary buildings and training for the 2025 academic year, development of new football grounds and training centers, implementation of the FIFA Football for Schools program, TV broadcasting of international events including the SEA Games, opening of regional football training centers and further upgrading of the U-15 League and youth competitions.
