The basic football education will be widely implemented by the World Football Federation (FIFA) in basic education schools starting in the 2025 academic year under the “Football For School “ programme in Myanmar, according to Myanmar Football Federation. The project will be implemented by the cooperation of FIFA , sport and education departments.

U Zaw Min Htike, media and communications director of the Myanmar Football Federation, said that applications containing basic football techniques will be distributed to schools and taught by coaches and teachers during physical education classes.
FIFA will provide the Myanmar Football Federation with over 40,000 children’s footballs manufactured by Adidas for this project, and they will be distributed to schools that will implement the “Football For School” program. The Myanmar Football Federation also said that the “Football For School” programme will be expanded to schools every year.
