16-year-old Maung Aung Thura San from Tachilek will compete in the International Arm Wrestling Competition to be held in Bangkok, Thailand on June 7.
Maung Aung Thura San has competed in arm wrestling competitions organized by local amateur youth and won awards. In the International Arm Wrestling Competition, Maung Aung Thura San will compete in the under-18 and over-18 freestyle competitions.
Foreign arm wrestlers have also contacted Maung Aung Thura San through social media and held competitions. Arm wrestling is not recognized as a sport in the country, and there are only competitions organized by amateur youth.
