DKBA will fight to totally eliminate online scam gangs( Zhàpiàn) in Mawaddy, Karin State on the border of Thai- Myanamar, DKBA Chief of Staff Major General Saw San Aung told One News.
DKBA transferred 261 foreigners trafficked by online fraud gangs and arrested in casinos in the Kyauk Khat area of Myawaddy Township. The transferred foreigners included the citizens of Ethiopia, Pakistan, Kenya, the Philippines, Laos and Brazil.

DKBA will cooperate with the international community in combating online scams (Zhàpiàn) and furthermore, investigations and identifications on trafficked persons will be carried out and transfer them, said Major General Saw San Aung. If there are more operations of transferring trafficked persons, they will cooperate with relevant government organizations, including the immigration department.
Major General Saw San Aung said that the activities of the online scams (Zhàpiàn) gangs are unacceptable because they originally opened online casinos and later engaged in human trafficking and fraud.
Karin Border Guard Force (BGF) reportedly formed four special forces to combat online scams( Zhàpiàn ) gangs and human traffickers.
The state government has investigated and identified illegal immigrants living in border areas and repatriated more than 55,000 foreigners from October 5,2023 as well as 1300 foreigners from 2022 to January 19, 2025 to their respective countries, according to SAC information team.
