Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Kyaw Soe Win urged to collaborate for Myanmar-India bilateral cooperation in tourism development. The Union Minister gave the remark at the Mekong-Ganga India-Myanmar Food Culture Festival held at the Secretariat, on Theinbyu Road, Yangon on February 23 evening.
The food and culture festival held today is a good measure for the development of Myanmar-Indian bilateral tourism. In Myanmar, tourism promotion programs such as ASEAN food festival are carrying out through government and private cooperation, said Union Minister U Kyaw Soe Win. It was very happy to have the opportunity to display and sell Myanmar handicrafts, said Ma Mee Mee Ko, a sale staff from Thiri Khit Clothing & Fabric Collection Shop.
The Mekong-Ganga India-Myanmar Food Culture Festival was organized by the Embassy of India in Yangon to celebrate the strong bilateral relations between India and Myanmar and collaborated by the Women of Indian Origin Association and the Myanmar Business Entrepreneur Women’s Network. There are 46 India-Myanmar restaurants participated in the event and sold the rich and diverse flavors of both Myanmar and India, and the money received from the participants will be used for parahita charity.
