Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC ) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Chinese President Xi Jinping exchanged congratulatory messages on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Myanmar –China Diplomatic Relations .
In a message sent by Chairman of the SAC Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing expressed his hope to continue working closely with China as friends to further deepen the long-standing friendship and amicable relations between Myanmar and China, and to explore new areas of mutually beneficial partnership that will remain strong and resilient for many decades to come. He said that the multi-sectoral cooperation between the two countries growing and diversifying across various sectors, in particular, the implementation of strategic projects under the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor , a key initiative of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), has brought significant benefits to both nations and their peoples, which is highly commendable. The message sent by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing also expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Chinese government and its people for their timely humanitarian assistance provided to Myanmar in the aftermath of the recent earthquake.
Chinese President Xi Jinping stated in a message that over the past 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Myanmar and China, the friendly relations between the two countries have become stronger and stronger despite challenges. On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, China is prepared to collaborate with Myanmar to accelerate the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, implement global development, security, and human civilization projects, establish a China-Myanmar community of shared future through Joy and sorrow, and deliver more advantages to both peoples.
