A Myanmar delegation led by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu will visit Hanoi, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to discuss the status of ASEAN urban management cooperation, according to the Yangon Region Government.
Yangon Region Chief Minister U Aung Naing Thu, Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, Yangon Region Development Minister U Myo Myint Aung, Mandalay Region Development Minister U Khin Maung Aye, and Head of Yangon City Development Committee Office Deputy Director General U Nyan Lin Soe, left for Vietnam on a flight from Yangon International Airport on the evening of June 7.
The Yangon Region Chief Minister and his delegation will attend the “2026 ASEAN Future Forum” and “ASEAN City Leaders’ Conference” to be held in Hanoi from June 7th to 10th, 2026. During the visit, they will discuss sustainable development among major cities in the ASEAN region, cooperation in urban management, and enhancement of future economic opportunities. They will participate in discussions and exchange views on various aspects of regional cooperation, including urban management cooperation and future economic opportunities participating in the talks and exchanging views on various aspects of regional cooperation with city leaders and representatives from ASEAN member states.
