Mongphone Sayadaw, who is on an assistance and donation tour to earthquake-hit areas, delivered a sermon at 9:30 am on April 23 at Jamine Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw and donated relief supplies to the earthquake-affected people. Many people came to pay their respects and listen to the sermon.
The Sayadaw said that the earthquake disaster should be experienced with contrition and that it is to remember that death is inevitable. In addition, the Sayadaw said that the Four Buddhist Virtues should be observed.

On the evening of April 22, the Sayadaw visited the Maravijaya Buddha Image in Nay Pyi Taw, recited Paritta, prayed for the well-being of the people affected by the Mandalay earthquake and shared merits gained with those who lost their life in the earthquake.
