On the upcoming Kason Full Moon Day Full Moon Day which falls on May 11, alms and offerings will be donated to 108 Sayadaws and Sanghas led by senior Sayadaws representing 1,276 Sayadaws and Sanghas in the four cardinal directions of Mandalay affected by the Mandalay earthquake.
The event will be held on the Full Moon Day of Kason to commemorate the transition from 2568 to 2569 (B.E) and ensure the safety of the country and citizens. Last year, alms and offerings were donated to 10,272 Sayadaws and Sanghas in the four cardinal directions of Mandalay, and this year, it is planned to offer offerings to 108 Sayadaws and Sanghas representing the 1,276 Sayadaws and Sanghas.
In addition, it is learned that the Sayadaws and Sanghas of Buddhist monasteries and nunneries in Mandalay will be invited to offer alms, rice, oil, onions and offerings.
