Another Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida title recipient Sayadaw emerged from the 33-day-long 77th Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida Selection Examination, according to the Department of Religious Affairs. The title recipient Sayadaw is Ashin Setthañanalankara, who resides at the Tipitaka Maha Gandawin Nikaya Monastery in Dagon Myothit (East) Township, Yangon Region. The title recipient Sayadaw is 45 years old and has been ordained for 23 years.

The Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida Selection Examination includes the two books of the first part of the Vinaya Pitaka, three books of the second part of the Vinaya Pitaka, three books of the Digha Nikaya of the Sutta Pitaka, the first five books of the Abhidhamma Pitaka and the second two books of the Abhidhamma Pitaka and the second two books of the Abhidhamma Pitaka to be recited from memory for the Tipitaka Title and to be sit for a written examination for the Tipitakakovida Title.
The congratulatory message sent by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to the Sayadaw who received the Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida Title was presented to the Sayadaw on January 26 afternoon by Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin, Chief Minister of Yangon Region U Soe Thein and officials.

By the time the 77th Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida Selection Examination was over, 17 Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida Title Recipient Sayadaws have emerged, and the first Tipitakadhara Tipitakakovida Title Recipient Sayadaw was Mingun Sayadaw.
