The People’s Square in Yangon was busy with visitors on April 15, the second day of Thingyan.
It is seen that at the square, food of rice and fried fish with tapioca dessert was distributed free to the visitors in the morning on the second day of Thingyan.
In addition, preparations are underway to hold a walking Thingyan event at the People’s Square, and it is also planned to hold it on the evening of April 15, the second day of Thingyan or April 16, the end day of Thingyan.
It is also seen that the 19th Street in Latha Township was busy with Thingyan revellers and people, who came and relaxed, on the second day of Thingyan.
During the Thingyan period, only some small Studitha (free distribution of food and snacks) pandals were seen in Yangon, and children were seen playing with water only on the streets of the neighborhoods.
