Dr. Khin Aye (Maung Khin Min-Danubyu), retired Myanmar language professor, passed away early on January 28, according to his family.
Maung Khin Min (Danubyu) was a prominent figure in the Myanmar literary world, and his death is an irreplaceable loss for the Myanmar literary world, a writer said.

Maung Khin Min (Danabyu) was born on January 2, 1942 in Danubyu Township, Ayeyarwady Region, and his real name was U Khin Aye. He retired as a Myanmar language professor in 2002 and has written nearly 30 books on Myanmar literature.
He was conferred on an honorary doctorate in literature by the University of Yangon in 2002. He has also received the National Literature Award (Literary Miscellany Award), the Medal of Excellence in Arts (Second Class). He was also awarded the Medal of Excellence in Arts (First Class) and the National Literary Award or Lifetime Achievement. He was 84 years old at the time of his death.
