Yangon People’s Square was packed with visitors and water pouring people on the last day of Thingyan Festival on April 16.
In the People’s Square, Studitha offerings (charity for people from all corners) such as Shwe Yin Aye(sweet cold drink), sago and soft drinks were distributed on the morning of the Thingyan ascent day.
In addition, there are places to apply Myanmar traditional Thanaka for those who visited Yangon People’s Square.
During Thingyan, there are only a few small water pandals in Yangon, and there is little traffic of people wandering around to play water, with children playing in the streets of neighbourhoods.
It is reported that Studitha donations were made at the Yangon People’s Square from the eve to the last day of Thingyan.
