U Nanda Kyaw, Chairman of the Myanmar Real Property Development Association (MRPDA), said that the national government should develop more affordable housing complexes for the people of basic and middle classes. He was speaking at an AML/CFT awareness raising seminar and real estate awareness training event held at Sky Star Hotel in Tamwe Township, Yangon Region on March 10.
U Nanda Kyaw said that along with the population increase in Myanmar, land becomes scarce creating land prices to rise. If more affordable housing is developed, it will become more accessible for the lower classes and land prices could also fall moderately, he said. It is also learnt that the currently, real estate market is cooling down across the country, while the rental market is more active.
