More than one viss of gold bars, jewelry and cash were found when carrying out the clean-up operation and recovering bodies of the earthquake victims from the collapsed Sky Villa Condo in Mandalay on May 27, and they have been handed over to their owners, according to a statement released by the Myanmar Fire Services Department.

While MFSD was carrying out clean-up work with use of equipment, more than 9.5 million kyats in cash, one viss and 37 kyattha of gold bars, gold chains, platinum chains, hand chains, earrings, gold pendants, gold hair clips, gold bracelets, gold rings, gold earrings, one car owner book, one household contents, and three purchase and sale agreements were found in Room No. H-7, Block-B of the condo on May 27 and handed over to their owners through officials, the statement said.
Similarly, the gold ring, diamond pendant, gold bracelet, gold chain and gold bar totalling nine kyattha in weight, the apartment purchase contract found in Room No. H-6 were transferred to the owner through officials. In addition, on the same day, three more female bodies were found and recovered from the Block-B of the collapsed condo, the statement said.
