The four countries, Myanmar, China, Laos, and Thailand, discussed further cooperation in anti-drug operations, according to the Myanmar Police Force.
The matter was discussed at the 2024 Annual Meeting on Joint Patron and Law Enforcement Cooperation among Myanmar, China, Laos and Thailand held at Wyngham Grand Hotel in Yangon on December 27.
Those who attended the meeting discussed issues of law enforcement and security cooperation along the Mekong River, further cooperation in anti-drug operations, and economic development of the people living in the Mekong River Basin.
In addition, bilateral working meetings took place between Myanmar and China, China and Laos, and China and Thailand.
