Myanmar has gifted Russia six elephants to mark the 75th Anniversary Diplomatic Relations between Myanmar and Russia, according to the Russian state media.
The six elephants were presented to the Moscow-based Great Moscow Circus on January 10. The elephants aged three to five were born in elephant camps, the Russian state media reported.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Sakharova thanked Myanmar for the gift, and Russian media published photos showing that the elephants were fed by the circus. Myanmar also presented Russia with three elephants to mark the 70th anniversary diplomatic relations between Russia and Myanmar.
