Member of State Administration Council, Chairman of National Solidarity Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt. Gen. Ya Pyae said that AI technology is being used to find clues in CCTVs in criminal investigations. Lt. Gen. Ya Pyae made the remarks on the third day of the Peace Talk held at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Center (NSPC) in Nay Pyi Taw on March 26.
CCTV is the main reliable source of clues in criminal detection. Efforts are being made to install CCTV cameras nationwide and use AI technology to distinguish good from bad people. Lt. Gen. Ya Pyae stated that the Myanmar Police Force is being transformed into both a technology-enabled and a community-based police force.
