The Police Force has taken actions to prosecute the perpetrators who beat and murdered a retired professor in Pathein Gyi Township, Mandalay where a real estate agent promised her to show a property, a police officer from Pathein Gyi Township told One News.
On the afternoon of April 25, a retired zoology professor Dr. Htwe Htwe was taken from her home in Maha Aung Myay Township to Pathein Gyi Township by a real estate agent saying to show her a house. She was then beaten to death and robbed of her jewelry and belongings.

A police officer from Pathein Gyi Township said that some suspects are currently being arrested and being investigated to take charges. Retired professor Dr. Htwe Htwe, who was beaten to death, was 66 years old when she died and was cremated at the Taung Inn Myauk Inn Cemetery on April 28.
