The Ministry of Information of the Union of Myanmar announced that it is taking action against a printer and a publisher of four books containing obscene material in accordance with the law.
It was found that the books contained contents that were lacking shame and fear of sinning, unacceptable to Myanmar society and could mislead the thinking and understanding of young people.

Therefore, the printer and publisher of the four books: “Personal Stylist” ; “I Am Your Baby Father”; “Nyo” ; and “AhMoon” , which violated the law and regulations, had their licenses revoked and declared illegal. They will be prosecuted in accordance with the law, the announcement said.
The ministry has announced that printers and publishers should respect and abide by the Printing and Publishing Enterprise Law and that they will be prosecuted in accordance with the law if they operate a printing and publishing business violating the law.
