A vehicle plunged into a gorge on the Kengtung-Taunggyi Highway in Shan State (East) on April 8 night, killing seven people and injuring three others, according to the Myanmar Fire Services Department.
The incident occurred near Milepost 366 on the Kengtung-Taunggyi Highway in Kengtung Township at around 10:40 pm on April 8 when a six-wheeled passenger vehicle plunged into an about- 500-foot-deep gorge on the right side of the road.

Five men and two women out of the 10 people on board died in the crash while three others were injured, according to the Myanmar Fire Services Department.
On the night of March 1, a passenger bus traveling from Tachilek to Mandalay overturned on the side of the road between Kengtung and Takaw in Shan State (East), killing seven passengers and injuring about 25 others.
