The Chinese Embassy in Myanmar offered rice to Myanmar and Chinese Buddhist monks and Chinese nuns — 447 Myanmar and Chinese Buddhist monks and 23 Chinese Buddhist nuns — at the Nan-U Phayagyi Tazaung, Botahtaung Pagoda in Yangon on December 25 with a joint donation made by the Chinese-Myanmar Buddhist Friendship Exchange Association.
At the rice offering ceremony, the donors shared merits gained and offered day meals to the Sayadaws as well.
In addition, the staff of the pagoda board of trustees and the Myanmar Fire Services Department were donated three pyi of rice each along with chicken biryani and Royal D cold drink.
