The topics on amending the constitution and shaping a federal union in democracy were discussed in the group discussing the economic and national development sector at the ongoing Peace Talk 2025 in Nay Pyi Taw on March 25.
Dr Nyo Nyo Thin, a former Hluttaw member, led the discussions on those topics, followed by individual discussions. Currently, the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC) and the political parties’ working group have signed bilateral agreements on the points that need to be amended in the constitution.
In addition, People’s Party Chairman U Ko Ko Gyi has said at a press conference on January 25 that during the meeting with NSPNC, there was a discussion to be able to hold an all-inclusive conference on reviewing the constitution beyond the election.
