The Myanmar political crisis and the role of government, citizens and political parties were discussed by the political parties in Kyauktada township, Yangon on February 2. The discussion was led by the General Secretary of the People’s Pioneer Party(PPP) Dr. Myo Sett Thway, Chairman of the Arakan Front Party(AFP), Dr. Aye Maung, Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Forces Party (NDF)U Htat Aung Kyaw and Executive Director of the Thayninga Institute for Strategic Studies (TISS) U Thein Tun Oo participated in the discussion.

General Secretary of PPP Dr. Myo Sett Thway said that the aim of discussion was to give the awareness to the government, people and political parties about the strengths, weaknesses and challenges to overcome the existing political crisis. In the discussion, Executive Director of TISS U Thein Tun Oo explained the role of collaboration by the government and people and Vice Chairman of the NDF, U Htat Aung Kyaw focused on the role of political parties in the affairs of the state.
Furthermore, Chairman of the AFP Dr. Aye Maung stressed the role of a good politician in the time of crisis faced by the state and General Secretary of PPP party, Dr. Myo Sett Thway discussed the ways how a good politician should stand with the people.
