The Supreme Court of the Union, which was damaged by the Mandalay earthquake, has opened temporary courtrooms at the Zeyathiri District Court since April 23, for full bench, special appeals court, special court and criminal and civil appeals court.
Despite the temporary courtrooms, efforts will be made to improve the standard of the courtroom with clients, lawyers, interested parties and the media being allowed to enter and observe the courtroom.
In order to avoid the loss of the people’s legal rights, cases submitted to the Supreme Court of the Union are being accepted at the case reception counter of the Supreme Court of the Union as before. The advance notice case list and actions are displayed on the notice boards of the Supreme Court of the Union and the Region and State Courts as well as on the website of the Supreme Court of the Union.
