Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, in replying to media, said discussions were held with the two countries to extensively cooperate in a various fields during his state-level goodwill visit to Russia and Belarus. The official state-level goodwill visits at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko are very good things for Myanmar, he said.
“During the both visits, we are able to hold discussions with both countries to cooperate mutually in a wide range of fields. To expand mutual exchanges, especially in economic cooperation in particular, a wide range of issues, including the expansion of tourism sectors, education, science and technology, health, sports, culture and law enforcement were extensively discussed. Furthermore, the political reforms in Myanmar was explained and both countries accept it,” replied Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to media.

During the visit, the conditions for the upcoming elections were explained and both countries expressed their support and said they would send representatives to observe the elections, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said that the two sides have gained a lot of trust through their meetings and found that the Russian people are interested in Myanmar.
“This is a good sign for the future of our country. Another thing is that we have explained that we will hold multi-party democratic elections. We will decisively do this. If we really want a multi-party democratic system, we must cooperate. If we do this, our country will definitely succeed. I dare to say this. Let me tell the people my opinion,” said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

Continuously, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said he wished all the people of Myanmar to be progressively successful in everything and wished them all the best, and urged everyone to cooperate if they believe in a multi-party democracy. A high-level Myanmar delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing paid an official state-level goodwill visit to Russia and Belarus from March 3 to 9, and returned to Nay Pyi Taw Military Airport on the evening of March 9.
