A total of 108 modular (prefabricated) offices transported by train from Thilawa Port in Yangon to be used as temporary office buildings in Nay Pyi Taw arrived at Ywataw Railway Station on May 6, according to the National Disaster Management Committee.
Dr Soe Win, Deputy Chairman (2) of the National Disaster Management Committee and Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, inspected the facilities together with Union Minister U Myo Thant and Deputy Ministers Maj-Gen Aung Kyaw Kyaw and U Myo Myint.
Of the modular (prefabricated) offices, 25 were distributed to the Supreme Court of the Union, five to the Constitutional Tribunal of the Union of Myanmar, 30 to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and 44 to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation. The remaining modular offices and furniture will be distributed to ministries.
