Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Vice-Senior General Soe Win and the delegation led by Advisory Board Chairman of the Office of the Royal Thai Army Chief General Direk Bongkarn met and discussed the matters related to the exchange of information to ensure the stability of border areas.
At the meeting, they discussed good conditions in diplomatic relations and friendly ties between the two countries and the two Tatmadaws, improvement of relations between senior Tatmadaw officers of both Tatmadaws as well as progress in cooperation.
Additionally, the measures which should be taken in cooperation between governments and Tatmadaws of the two countries in the eradication of human trafficking and online scams in border areas, action taken against illegal fishing trawlers and fishermen from Thailand in Myanmar’s territorial waters and plans to be taken, exchange of goodwill visits of senior Tatmadaw officers from both Tatmadaws and the enhancement of cooperation were discussed.
