President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin said that the talks held with the visiting Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing were successful.
President Vladimir Putin made the remarks at a joint press meet together with SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at the Kremlin Palace in Moscow on March 4 evening local time.

President Vladimir Putin also expressed his belief that the results achieved will lead to further development of bilateral cooperation in various fields. On the international front, Myanmar and Russia have been cooperating actively in the field of security and are working together for the peaceful development of the Asia-Pacific region as well.
The two countries are planning to strengthen strategic cooperation in the energy sector and have made agreements on development of renewable energy sources and building of a small-scale nuclear power plant in Myanmar as well as some construction-related projects in Myanmar, President Putin said.

In addition, President Vladimir Putin invited Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to attend the ceremony to celebrate the 82nd Anniversary of Victory Day to be held in Moscow on May 9, and expressed that he wanted a military unit representing Myanmar to participate in the Victory Day Parade to be held at the Red Square in Moscow.
