A high-level Myanmar delegation led by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing arrived at Moscow Airport on March 3 evening at local time and received a salute from the Guard of Honour.
The delegation led by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing was greeted and welcomed by Russian Minister of Economic Development Mr. Maksim Reshetnikov, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mr. Andry Rudenko, Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Iskander Azizov, Myanmar Ambassador to Russia U Thit Lin Ohn and Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy, Air) Brig-Gen Moe Kyaw.
After receiving the salute from the guard of honour, the Myanmar delegation led by SAC Chairman and Prime Minister continued to the Myanmar Theravada Buddhist Centre in Moscow in the evening local time.
Then, the delegation led by the SAC Chairman and Prime Minister arrived at the Myanmar Theravada Buddhist Centre and took their seats at the Saddhammajottika Theindaw, where the Sayadaws took their seats.
The ceremony was opened with the Sayadaws reciting Namo Tassa three times, and they received the Five Precepts from the Sayadaws.
Afterwards, the SAC Chairman and delegation members listened to the Dhamma from the Sayadaws and offered alms to the Sayadaws who delivered a sermon, and the merits gained were shared.
After that, the delegation led by the SAC Chairman and Prime Minister left for the hotel where they will stay in Moscow.

The Myanmar high-level delegation, who are on a state visit to Russia at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, was led by Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accompanied by Joint Secretary of SAC General Ye Win Oo, Member of SAC General Nyo Saw, Union Ministers U Than Swe, Admiral Moe Aung, Dr. Kan Zaw, U Ko Ko Lwin, Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw and Chief Minister of Bago Region U Myo Swe Win, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, deputy ministers, businessmen and military and civilian officials.
During the visit, the SAC Chairman will hold talks with officials of the Russian government including Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Russian Prime Minister, the Speaker of the State Duma of Russia.
It is learnt that the SAC Chairman and delegation will then travel to the Republic of Belarus and meet with the President of Belarus and the Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus.
It is also learnt that during the visit, Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) will be signed between the two governments.
In addition, 2025 is the 77th anniversary of Russia-Myanmar diplomatic relations. Bilateral relations, exchange of state-level visits between the countries and bilateral cooperation in various sectors have been making progress and will continue to be promoted.
