The Russian search and rescue team members conducting search and rescue operations in Mandalay reportedly left Mandalay Thiri Stadium, which was their gathering point, on the evening of April 9.

Before leaving, the officials exchanged warm greetings, presented certificates of honour, and shared souvenirs. Although a member of the Russian rescue team has departed, the Russian medical team will remain operational, and the temporary hospital will continue to be open.

The members of the Russian search and rescue team arrived in Mandalay on March 29 in two transport planes, carrying 120 personnel and search and rescue dogs. They also conducted operations in earthquake-affected areas of Mandalay, including the Great Wall Hotel, the Tulip Hotel, the Win Star Hotel, and the Thein Phyu Hotel, all of which were damaged by the earthquake.
