The reception to commemorate the National Day of the Russian Federation was held at the Lotte Hotel in Yangon on the evening of June 11.
The reception was attended by Secretary of the State Administration Council General Aung Lin Dwe and wife, SAC Members Dr Ba Shwe and Khun San Lwin, union ministers and their wives, the Chief Minister of Yangon Region and wife, the Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) and wife, senior military officers, ambassadors of foreign embassies, chargés d’affaires, military attaches and other guests.
The event commenced with the Myanmar National Anthem and the National Anthem of the Russian Federation, and H.E. Mr. Iskander Azizov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Myanmar, delivered a speech. The reception continued with a presentation on the cultural heritage, scientific achievements, economic development and international affairs chapters being shown through videos, and the cultural dance troupes of the Russian Federation performed traditional cultural dances.
After that, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation hosted a dinner for the guests.
