A month after a powerful earthquake struck Myanmar, people continue to deal with the effects of ongoing aftershocks, according to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA). Families in the affected regions are still living in makeshift shelters. They are in urgent need of clean water, healthcare, and protection.

The government is working to provide rehabilitation and necessary assistance in the earthquake-affected areas, while local and international donors are providing crucial assistance. In addition, the United Nations and its partners are continuously providing urgently needed support. While some affected individuals have received support, a significant number still require shelter, food, and healthcare, according to a statement from UNOCHA.
