Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe met with Thai Foreign Minister Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa, who is on a working visit to Myanmar, at the Jasmine Nay Pyi Taw Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw on February 22 and discussed enhancement of joint efforts to combat illegal activities, according to the statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
At the meeting, they discussed enhancement of multi-sectoral cooperation between Myanmar and Thailand and more cooperation of illegal activities, especially in combating illegal border trade, illegal drugs and arms trafficking, online fraud, human trafficking and transnational crime.
The Thai foreign minister and delegation paid a courtesy call on Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on February 22 and visited the Maravijaya Buddha Image on February 21 evening.
