Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is in Russia on a high-level state visit at the invitation of Russian Federation President H.E Vladimir Putin, exclusively met with Russian President Vladimir Putin at Kremlin Palace in Moscow in the evening of local time on March 4.
The meeting was attended by Chairman of SAC Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and he was accompanied by Joint Secretary of SAC General Ye Win Oo, member of SAC General Nyo Saw, Union Ministers U Than Swe, Admiral Moe Aung and Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Thit Linn Ohn. The President of the Russian Federation was accompanied by the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Foreign Relations Assistant Officer for the Foreign Policy of the President of the Russian Federation, the Minister for Industry and Trade, and officials as well as heads of the government.
At the meeting, President H.E Vladimir Putin said that he was delighted to meet for the second time and the current visit of the Prime Minister will greatly contribute to strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries. During this visit, agreements for bilateral cooperation will be signed. Trade relations between our two countries have also improved compared to the past. Moreover, the two countries continue to collaborate on international platforms. Once again, he expressed his pleasure in their meeting here in Moscow.
In his speech, Chairman of SAC Prime Minister Senior General said that he thanked the President for the meeting in Moscow. It was the second meeting now after the meeting at the 7th Far East Economic Forum. Russia is a good and old friend of Myanmar and despite the geographical distance, both countries share a close and friendly relationship. Historically, Myanmar and Russia have been maintaining cooperation through weal and woe and the diplomatic relations between the two nations have now reached the 77th anniversary. Meetings and discussions like this are highly beneficial for both countries. The Senior General said he would also like to express his gratitude for this opportunity in dialogue.
Afterwards, they cordially discussed matters on the enhancement of friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, manufacturing and trade affairs, economic development, cooperation in investment, agriculture and livestock and other sectors.
