On the third day of the Peace Talk 2025 held at the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Center (NSPC) in Nay Pyi Taw on March 26, matters on elections, security, stability and the rule of law were discussed.
The discussions were led by Lt-Gen Myint Soe (Retd) and U Ko Ko Gyi, followed by discussion of each group of participants. Lt-Gen Win Bo Shein, member of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee, who chaired the discussion, said that a fair election could only be held if there is security at the place where the election is held.
Regarding the election, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said at the meeting of SAC held on March 25 that it was planned to hold the election under the proportional representation (PR) system in the constituencies for Amyotha Hluttaw and Region and State Hluttaws.
