Myanmar has accepted a multi-party democracy, stated Chairman of the State Administration Council (SAC) Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing. He made this remarks while responding to media inquiries aboard a special plane during his return trip from attending a military parade in Russia, which commemorated the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing stated that he has endorsed the transition to a multi-party democracy. He explained that free and fair elections could take place by the end of this year. During his visit to Russia, he met with several leaders and discussed the changes occurring in Myanmar. He noted that all of those leaders accepted and supported his views on the matter.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing emphasized that the strength of the country’s defense relies on the strength of the Tatmadaw. He urged the people to cultivate a love for their country and a spirit of patriotism. He believes that only by fostering this sense of dedication can all citizens contribute to Myanmar’s development and achieve progress.
