The multi-party democracy desired by the people of Myanmar will be continuously implemented, stated Maj. Gen. Zaw Min Tun, head of the State Administration Council (SAC) Information Team. He made the remarks in response to media inquiries regarding the visit to Russia by a high-level delegation led by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
Major General Zaw Min Tun stated that Myanmar’s multi-party democratic general election was scheduled to take place by the end of this year, as announced by the Prime Minister and China has expressed its support for the election. He emphasized that to establish a multi-party democratic system, political parties must continue to educate the public, and the public needs to support these efforts to ensure the election is conducted peacefully.
