On the first day of Peace Talk 2025 held in Nay Pyi Taw, the establishment of a ceasefire process and reduction of conflict in terms of politics and national security was discussed. The discussions included conflict reduction, reconciliation and remedial measures, short-term and long-term plans to overcome the political crisis and the development of a ceasefire process.
The peace talk is necessary because through such a discussion, hubris can be reduced and people can realize how valuable peace is. The results of the discussions will be presented to the Head of State, Daw Saw Mya Yazar Lin, chairperson of the Arakan Liberation Party (ALP) who are participating in the discussions of the peace talk, said.

The ongoing peace talk is divided into two groups: the political and security sector, and the economic and national development sector. If there is no stability, development cannot be achieved, and when tasks for development are carried out, there is no balanced development. That is why conflicts are occurring, U Ko Ko Gyi, chairman of the People’s Party, who is participating in the discussions on the economic and national development sector, said.
Members of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee (NSPNC), retired senior military officers, JMC representatives, representatives of EAOs who signed NCA, representatives of political parties, those involved in the peace process, eligible participants, officials of ministries, organizations and associations and observers are attending it.
