Individuals residing in buildings damaged by earthquakes can request an inspection if they have any concerns about the structure, stated U Saw Htwe Zaw, vice chairman of the Myanmar Earthquake Committee.
Earthquake Clinics, staffed by volunteer engineers, have been established in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon, Mandalay, and Sagaing on April 9, to conduct free inspections for areas affected by the earthquake.Individuals uncertain about entering buildings affected by the earthquake can request inspection teams for evaluation, stated U Saw Htwe Zaw, vice chairman of the Myanmar Earthquake Committee.

TThey mentioned that they have provided online training for volunteer engineers. Their team conducts inspections on a street-by-street basis in townships and can also visit and inspect buildings upon request. U Saw Htwe Zaw further explained the criteria for identifying buildings that are safe to inhabit and those that are not after an earthquake.
Earthquake Clinics were established to evaluate the integrity of buildings following an earthquake. Their purpose is to provide timely assessments of structures that can be quickly used, as well as to continuously monitor and support emergency response and reconstruction efforts, offering a comprehensive one-stop service.
Volunteer engineers can be contacted to provide technical assistance for renovation work after assessing the reusability of buildings damaged by earthquakes.
