Doors are always open for peace talks, and continued efforts will be made for peace, State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said.
He made this remark in his message sent to the ceremony to mark the Karen National New Year Day which falls on December 30.
The State Administration Council is holding talks with political parties and ethnic armed organizations (EAOs) to achieve perpetual peace, and the views and remarks obtained during the talks have been recorded for approval in future parliamentary sessions, he said in the message.
All ethnic people, including the Karen people, must work together to achieve stability, rule of law and socioeconomic development that the country needs, the message said.
