As the Akha people live in the border areas adjacent to the neighboring countries of China, Laos, and Thailand, they are to work together to ensure stability of the border areas and promotion of border trade through building friendship between tje peoples of these countries, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing said.
The SAC Chairman made the remarks in his message sent to mark the Golden Jubilee Anniversary of Akha National Day.
Despite making the invitation for resolving political issues through political means to end the armed conflicts in some areas of the country, some ethnic armed groups are turning a blind eye to it, the message said.
The Akha people must continue to maintain cooperation with the government and work to further promote regional peace and stability and improvement of socio-economic life in various sectors and thereby, further enhancing the benefits of the region and nation, the message said.
