The development of a country is often assessed by economic development. Countries with strong economies are valued as developed countries. In order to strengthen economic development, human resources development is necessary. The health and intelligence of every person in the public is crucial for human resource development. Only healthy and educated people are highly valuable human resources. Only they can carry out tasks for the development of the country. Today is the “Age of Knowledge”, and the “Human Development Index” (HD) is often used as a key tool to measure a country’s overall performance. This includes: 1) the life expectancy of each citizen; 2) the adult literacy rate; 3) the type of primary, secondary and high school education; and 4) the income of each citizen. In carrying out tasks for economic development of a country, the above factors are closely related to each other.
Health needs
Among these factors, the life expectancy of every citizen is related to health care. Health leads to a long life. As the saying goes, “Arojan Praman Laban” (health is a great wealth) for every human being. It is not only a great wealth for humans, but also a benefit for the State. Now, due to the global pandemic like Covid-19, the economies of countries have also declined. Citizens have also faced a halt in working, and there is a decline in their incomes. Therefore, it can be seen that the economic development of countries is related to the health of citizens. For every citizen to be healthy and strong, it is necessary to have individual health and strength. For individual health and strength, we can achieve it by having health awareness and cultivating ourselves. However, it is also necessary to be able to address diseases stemming from incitement. Workers in manufacturing industries, workplaces, offices, defense personnel and educational personnel can work only if they are healthy and strong. This will increase productivity.

Education and Human Resources
Currently, our country is still struggling to escape from the list of the lowest developing countries. In such a situation, the country will continuously develop only if human resources can be consistently developed and improved. Human resources are the most basic of the financial, natural, and human resources required for growth of the country. With well-developed human resources, the remaining resources can be employed effectively and the country can develop. It is said that the primary issue in developing countries is the lack of ability to enhance the value of human resources and their ineffective use.
At the same time, the human resource development index, which is important for the development of a country, includes the adult literacy rate, primary, secondary, and tertiary education attainment rates. Therefore, these factors are related to the high level of education of every citizen. Developed countries such as China, Japan, Singapore, India, and their neighbours are constructing their country with specialists. Developed countries such as China, Japan, Singapore, India, and their neighboring nations are building their nations with the expertise of skilled professionals. ASEAN members such as Vietnam, Malaysia, and Thailand have also overcome the industrial revolution and are building their countries using modern technologies. Professionals in these countries left the industrial era behind and established the technological era. Therefore, the nineteenth century is considered the first industrial revolution, whereas the twentieth century is designated as the second industrial revolution. Industrial technology has revolutionized the planet. The current 21st century is called the era of technology or the era of information and communication technology, or the era of knowledge. Therefore, if you are not educated, you will be left behind. Not only the individual citizen who is not educated, but also the country will definitely be left behind in development. Today, every country in the world is working hard to make their countries become knowledge-based societies, so we need to be careful not to make our country and citizens thwarted in their struggle.
A nation is built on the foundation of education. If you observe the world today, the pace of change is much faster than before. The role of professionals in change and progress is more important. In the technological age, only technological development can bring the development and progress of a nation. For technological development, it is necessary to be an ever-learning society. The places where people can learn and train are from primary schools to universities and colleges. Schools are not only places for academic learning but also training grounds for respecting and adhering to laws, rules, and regulations. They are environments where the habits and behaviors of good citizens are nurtured and cultivated. For the development and progress of a nation, the education of the youth is of utmost importance as Tony Blair, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1997 to 2007, once famously stated that there were three priorities in his agenda for government: education, education and education.
Poor health and education can hinder the progress of the country. How can we build the future of our country without professionals and technicians? How can we build a nation without engineers, economists, statisticians, and communication experts? Similarly, without healthy and strong human resources, how can we build a nation? Poor health and education are destroying the future of the young generation whom the country relies on and the future of the country.
As long as the number of healthy educated people increases, productivity will increase, socio-economic life will improve, and disparity gaps between states and regions will narrow. For this to happen, it will be necessary for all stakeholders and ethnic people to work together to improve the health and education of ethnic people.
