More than 30 Asian water bird species were discovered in Tada-U township, Mandalay Region, during a census collection of three days from January 20 to January 22, according to Shwe Kanthar Environmental Conservation Association.

Water duck species were focused in collecting the list of water birds and collected in Pyu Lake, Paleik Lake and Banaw Lake in Tada U township where the entering route of the water birds lies. The species were the same as species discovered in the previous years. The lesser number of water birds were found where more birds were found in the previous years and the more number of water birds were found where lesser number of water birds were found in the previous years, said a responsible person from Shwe Kanthar Environmental Conservation Association.
The Asian water bird species census was conducted by collaboration of The Biodiversity and Nature Conservation Association (BANCA) and Shwe Kanthar Environmental Conservation Association cooperation with bird watching enthusiasts.
