China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Ms. Mao Ning urged to stop fighting not to affect China’s business projects in Myanmar and engage in dialogue.
She made this comment on July 25 at the regular press briefing of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in response to the current situation in the northern region of Myanmar.
She said that China has always urged the parties concerned in Myanmar to hold dialogue and cease fire as soon as possible, resolve differences through peaceful means, and avoid further escalation of the situation.
She also urged that safety of the residents in the border area and company employees of Chinese projects in Myanmar should not be affected, and said China will keep pressing to maintain momentum of holding talks for ceasefire and peace in the northern region of Myanmar.
